A new trailer for Jordan Peele‘s Nopeis being promised for this week, and while we wait Universal has debuted a new featurette today that hypes Peele’s “cinematic event.”
Peele explains in the video, “This whole film is ambitious as a cinematic event as I’ve planned so far in my career.
I tried to write a script that I didn’t know how to pull it off. And then assembled a team to help me pull it off.” Check out the new featurette video below.
And keep your eyes peeled forKeith David (The Thing, They Live)!
Universal will be releasing Nope in theaters on July 22, 2022. The film is being referred to in official press materials as “a new pop nightmare” and “an expansive horror epic.”
Nope is part of a “five-year exclusive production partnership” Universal Pictures inked with Peele and his Monkeypaw Productions, and it’s been described as a “horror event.”
Mind you, anything from Peele at this point is instantly an event, but we can probably expect Nope to be Peele’s biggest movie to date, with an announced IMAX optimization.
