He informed his employees about his decision in an internal memo
Blue did not specify what his plans are for the future, but according to sources, the former PBS
NewsHour and Nightline producer will likely return to the news arena where he has spent most of his career thus far.
Blue's note was accompanied by a company email from Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of Paramount Global's Media Networks
Nina L. Diaz, CCO and President of Content for MTV Entertainment Group; and Keys Hill-Edgar, COO,
Paramount Media Networks and MTV Entertainment Studios. In it, he thanked Blue for his contribution
and indicated that there would be no immediate replacement.
Because of our deep talent bench, we won’t miss a beat: We have asked Pam Aguilar,
who has been the lead material, and the rest of the business support team to step in at this time of transition.
